Making Life Easier for the Busy Urban Dog Owner

Dog daycare and overnight dog boarding in a safe and loving environment is our top priority. Team members at Metro Dogs Daycare & Boarding are trained in canine behavior. Our general manager is a professional dog trainer, and she oversees internal training of all team members who spend time with your dog.

Our philosophy is that we’re in this together with you…whether it’s helping you train your puppy to become a good canine citizen or tending to the special needs of a senior dog. We don’t charge extra for doing things that help you. It’s all part of the Metro Dogs experience and our mission to make your life easier.

I’m Amy. I’ve lived downtown since 2002, and I’ve always owned a dog. So I designed and built Metro Dogs to become the kind of place that I wished I could go to years ago for daycare, boarding and grooming… a full service facility that makes life easier for the busy urban dog owner.

My background: After a long corporate career I shifted gears and followed my inner puppy to the Animal Humane Society. I’ve served on the board of Helping Paws, which trains service dogs for people with mobility disabilities. And as a Pet Partners Therapy Team, Oliver the Metro Dog and I visited nursing homes and hospitals.

Today I oversee all aspects of Metro Dogs’ daycare, boarding and dog grooming business. Before opening our doors I studied canine behavior and body language, attended classes on safe play group management, worked on site at a nationally recognized daycare training facility, and became certified by the Red Cross in Pet First Aid. Our managers make sure that all team members are properly trained before they’re permitted to work solo with your dogs.

Additionally, Metro Dogs is passionate about giving back to the community. You can see the nonprofit organizations that we support with generous cash donations as well as marketing resources.

I hope to meet you and your dog soon!
